The Worship and Outreach Life Board would like to express their appreciation to all the coaches, directors, and volunteers who gave of their time and talents this UPWARD Soccer season. Also, to all who volunteered at our Soccer Awards/All-Church picnic.

UPWARD sports programming is unique in several areas. Every child plays an equal amount of time. This guideline helps each child accomplish the theme of all UPWARD sports: “Every child is a winner!”.  Today’s sports culture has created a “win at all cost” mentality. However, in Upward, success is not based on wins and losses. Coaches are trained that success is determined by how they convey salvation, character, and self-esteem to each child. Upward defines winning as learning and/or teaching lessons in the game of life.
