Finishing Well is designed especially for older adults who want to approach life’s later chapters with faith, purpose, and joy. Together, we will explore the blessings that come with age, how to love and encourage our adult children well, and how God can continue to use our wisdom, experience, and influence to strengthen His church. We believe older generations are not simply part of the church’s history. They are a vital part of its present and future. Their faithfulness, prayers, service, and encouragement help shape the generations coming behind them. This free conference is an opportunity to be encouraged, challenged, and reminded that God is not finished with you. Your role may change, but your calling remains. There is still meaningful work to do, wisdom to share, people to love, and fruit to bear.
About our speaker:
Dr. Joel Cocklin, U.S. Army Colonel (Retired), has devoted his life to serving Jesus Christ, His Church, and others. Ordained by the Churches of God, General Conference, in 1972, Joel served for ten years as pastor of New Cumberland First Church of God in Pennsylvania. He later served for 27 years as a chaplain in the United States Army, retiring with the rank of colonel. Joel also spent many years teaching and providing leadership at Winebrenner Theological Seminary. He holds a Doctor of Ministry degree and has extensive experience in mentoring, leadership development, marriage, and family ministry. Throughout his career, Joel has worked with pastors, military chaplains, and senior leaders across the United States and around the world. More than his titles and accomplishments, Joel is a devoted follower of Jesus, husband to Kay, father, and grandfather. His years of ministry, military service, teaching, marriage, and family life give him a wealth of wisdom and experience to share about living faithfully and fruitfully through every season of life.
