The Book of Romans 8:28-30

Welcome to Celina First Church of God. We are glad you are joining us online today as we continue our study through Romans 8.

Today we come to one of the most familiar verses in the chapter, Romans 8:28, where Paul writes that “in all things God works for the good of those who love him.” It is a verse that is often quoted on its own, but the surrounding context gives it much greater depth.

Paul is writing about suffering, hope, the work of the Holy Spirit, and the future glory God has promised His people. Today we will look at what Paul means by “good,” how God can work even through painful seasons, and why our hope is ultimately rooted in the fact that God will finish the work He has begun in us.

We are also looking forward to hearing from our missions team as they share about the work they were part of this summer and some of the opportunities that are coming up next.
