The Book of Romans: Chapter 5:1-5
Good morning and welcome to Celina First Church of God. We are so glad you are joining us online today.
This morning we are continuing our series through the book of Romans, and we will be in Romans 5:1 to 5. Paul gives us a powerful picture of how God can work in the lives of His people. Suffering can produce perseverance, perseverance can produce character, and character can produce hope. It is not an easy process, but it is a process God can use to form something beautiful in us.
Today is also Communion Sunday. On the first Sunday of each month, we share communion together as a church family. For those joining us online, we are genuinely thankful that technology allows you to worship with us from wherever you are. At the same time, communion is one of those reminders that there is something meaningful about gathering in person with the body of Christ. We remember Jesus together. We receive together. We worship together.
So if you have mostly connected with us online, we are grateful you are here. But we would also love to invite you to join us in person sometime soon. There are some parts of church life that are best experienced gathered together.
As we prepare our hearts for worship today, may we remember that because of Jesus, we have peace with God, access to grace, and hope that does not put us to shame.
