The Final Week: Palm Sunday
Good morning and welcome to Celina First.
Today we are beginning a brand new series called The Final Week: The Days That Changed Everything. Over the next several Sundays we are going to slow down and walk carefully through the final week of Jesus’ life. So often Holy Week can feel rushed. Palm Sunday, the Last Supper, the Cross, and the Resurrection can all blur together. This month we want to give each moment the space it deserves.
We are starting today in Matthew 21 with the Triumphal Entry, what we commonly call Palm Sunday. As Jesus rides into Jerusalem, the crowds shout “Hosanna,” welcoming Him as King. But this moment reveals something deeper about who Jesus truly is and the kind of kingdom He came to establish.
If you are joining us online, we are glad you are here. Grab a Bible if you have one and turn to Matthew 21. We will also be sharing in communion today, remembering that this King did not come to rule by force, but through sacrifice and service. Let’s lean in together as we begin this journey through the final week.
